The NSE Indices Limited, a subsidiary of the National Stock Exchange of India, has launched India’s first-ever REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) and InvITs (Infrastructure Investment Trusts) index. This new index will track the performance of listed REITs and InvITs in the Indian market, providing investors with a benchmark to measure their investments. This move is expected to boost the real estate and infrastructure investment sectors in India.
The free-float market capitalization will determine the weights of securities in the index, with a maximum limit of 33% for each security, and the combined weight of the top three securities will not exceed 72%.
