Villa Saudade is a 400-year-old Portuguese mansion in Arpora, Goa, that has been restored and converted into a heritage homestay. The homestay is owned by Acaso Living, a company that specializes in restoring and managing heritage properties.

The mansion was originally built by the Pinho family, one of Goa’s oldest Portuguese families. The family lived in the mansion for centuries, and it eventually passed down to Vasco Pinho, a famed historian and author. In 2020, Pinho leased the mansion to Acaso Living for restoration.

The restoration process took six months, and it was overseen by Goa architect Rochelle Santimano. Santimano was careful to preserve the original character of the mansion, while also making it comfortable and inviting for guests. The homestay now features four bedrooms, a swimming pool, and a lush garden.

Villa Saudade is a popular destination for tourists who want to experience the unique history and culture of Goa. The homestay is also a great place for families, as it offers plenty of space to relax and explore.

If you are looking for a unique and memorable place to stay in Goa, Villa Saudade is a great option. The homestay is a perfect place to relax and soak up the history and culture of this beautiful state.
