Design We Love: A Flower Petal-themed Villa in Alibaug by Apostrophe Architecture + Urban Design

This Vastu-Compliant villa in Alibaug, India, draws inspiration from the form of a flower petal.

Designed by Shivjit Sidhu of Apostrophe Architecture + Urban Design, the villa’s distinctive shape is meant to evoke the feeling of a blooming flower, with each of its four bedrooms representing a petal. The villa’s open-plan living areas are situated in the center of the space, and are surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows that offer expansive views of the surrounding landscape.

The interior of the villa is decorated with a mix of natural materials and bright, colorful accents, such as a vibrant blue sofa and yellow chairs. The outdoor spaces feature a swimming pool and a large terrace, which is ideal for outdoor dining and entertaining. The villa’s unique design and attention to detail make it a standout example of contemporary architecture in India.
