Muda’s House, a family vacation home is a perfect place for family gatherings. And here’s its interesting story.
To the architectural firm which was to design the place, the clients suggested a creative way to organize the areas during the initial briefing. The request called for the house to be constructed in three distinct blocks, one for the grandparents with a bedroom and a small living area, and two others with two bedrooms each for their children and grandchildren.
Like a genuine Portuguese home, the living room serves as the hub. The light pours in from all sides. The glass doors and partitions allow easy access from inside to outdoors. The goal was to create an inviting space where families could spend special times together.
This house is delicately characterized by traditional Portuguese architecture, which gives it a character that is both picturesque and irreverent. It was developed horizontally, with a chimney balancing its composition.
It’s designed impeccably to suit a family vacation as mentioned earlier but what attracts the maximum crowd is its posh location. It is part of the wonderful Comporta region, which includes rice fields, pine forests, and dunes before flowing into the sea along the famed Alentejo coast.
